Web
Templates
There are a plethora of sites offering tens of thousands of Web Templates, believe me I’ve looked at them all. Web Site design is a very confusing world, filled with tricks and traps waiting to snare the unwary. Most of the cheap templates are just that. For only a few dollars you get a nice looking front page, sometimes a second page and a simple CSS and that’s it. These are good if your intent is only to have two or three pages all looking the same. For anything more complex you might as well forget these and start from scratch because that’s what you will be doing. There is a significant amount of page creation and code rewriting with these simple templates that in many cases you’re better off without them. That’s not to say that there are not some nice designs among these templates and if you see one you like and want to make that your starting page then by all means go for it.
Your other option is to go with a more complete template. The template I used on this site came from Web in a Minute. (Copyright © 2000-2007 Web In A Minute™) They offer templates that can run up to 150 pages with several different additional-page designs that you can use to add even more. These templates are as big or as small as you need and almost ready to go. However even with these there is a lot of work needed.

Web Site Design
The producers of these templates used Front Page, which has finally and thankfully been retired. The Front Page coding and web bots need to be removed, code corrected and modernized and changes made to suit your design. If all you want is a simple site you can add your content, any pictures you like, upload it and for the most part it will work fine. If you want forms, PHP, member logon databases and other components of more complex web sites they will have to be added.
Go to WIAM and check out their templates. If you see one you like and decide to get it please let them know I sent you.
If you would like help changing this template into your perfect web site contact me and we can discuss what’s needed.
